I’m actually glad Jagex came up with this whole ironman thing. I’m playing Ultimate Ironman on OSRS, and the challenge is kind of fun, tbh. In all my years of playing Runescape, it’s teaching me how to be so efficient with my items and training in ways I never was before.
When I train fletching, I’m literally training crafting, fletching, and woodcutting all at once, and have gotten used to doing certain skills while going from one place to another to be quick. When I train cooking, I’m also training woodcutting and fire making. When I train combat, I also train prayer. During all of those processes, I’m also making money. Because I don’t have a bank and can’t trade with anyone, I carefully watch where my money goes and when to spend it. Playing this now, I’ve realized how careless I spend my money on my main account. I’m forced to value every little item I can get. I get bones? Bury them. I get logs? Fletch or burn them, no matter what. I haven’t posted my progress because I don’t want to be that guy who posts every level they go up when they’re all low-leveled skills, so I’ll post one whole pic on my progress. I started Thursday night.
